Tilted / Costume Dance Video
January 2019: A dance video to show the garments of a costume designer in motion. On this project I filmed, edited and took photographs.
This is a result of a project from a course called Fashion Media. In multidisciplinary teams of four from Westerdals, we partnered up with a costume design student from KHiO (Kunsthøgskolen i Oslo og Akershus).
Her name is Emma Dock and she had a vision about movement, film, the colour red and dance. Her goal from the partnership was to end up with a product that show some of her designs in motion, that could be posted to her web portfolio. The video was shot in an art gallery in Oslo.
We contacted two students from KHiO that studied dance. They freestyled the whole time.
After shooing the video, we went through all of the footage and started editing it onto the 01:32 minute short film.
The music was made by the guy on our team. This song was played in the background while the dancers moved, and it was the foundation for how the movie was cut. The end result ended up being posted to her web portfolio. A result everyone was happy with.

I’m Isabelle, a Norwegian & English graphic designer based in Oslo, Norway. My passion lies in creating designs that tell stories, whether through editorial design, brand identities or web design. I am driven by the challenge of transforming ideas into visual experiences that resonate with people.

You will often find me with a camera in hand (at the moment I am very invested in analog photography) capturing the world around me. Photography allows me to see things from new perspectives and find beauty in the everyday. I also dabble in videomaking as a hobby, enjoying the process of weaving together clips to create engaging narratives.
If you think we should work together, contact me.
